Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean GameCube Review

Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean is a JRPG developed by Monolith Soft and tri-Crescendo for the Nintendo GameCube, published across all regions between 2003 and 2005. It was later remastered on the Nintendo Switch in 2023.

We take on the role of a wandering spirit who bonds with a man named Kalas, a youth who has only one wing in a world where all people have avian like manifestations called "Wings of the Heart". Kalas has amnesia, and is not sure what happened to him prior to us joining him, however is keen for an adventure. Returning to where he was knocked out in a nearby forest, he discovers a woman name Xehla and gets caught up in the controvasy of the five End Magnus, cards containing great power.
