A lot of smaller pieces are much more manageable than one huge, unchangeable thing -- that’s the case with microservices, at least. Microservices, or microservices architecture, is an application development approach in which large apps are built from many modular components or services. It’s an alternative to monolithic application development, where all of the code is in one file.

This style of app development boasts many advantages for enterprises, like less development time, scalability, and compatibility with containers, among others. But, microservices also pose a series of tradeoffs for software developers.

Do you use microservices? What are the most significant benefits or drawbacks to microservices architecture? Share your thoughts in the comments, and be sure to hit that like button.
