SilentMode pays a visit to the new LEGO Minifigure Factory at the London Leicester Square store: the new way to make a custom LEGO minifigure!


BACKGROUND
I visited the London Leicester Square LEGO retail store for the first time in months and saw they had newly introduced the LEGO Minifigure Factory: a way to design your own custom LEGO minifigure.

Choose a design for the minifigure torso (only White ones are available!), and customise it with a freehand design, decorations, and/or text.

You'll also receive a White 1x3 printed brick, with whichever name you choose at the beginning, and the name of the LEGO store.

The London Leicester Square LEGO store is reportely the second in the UK to receive the LEGO Minifigure Factory, with Liverpool being the first.

Having experience with customising LEGO minifigures - including those for the SilentMode Family - I see this as an accessible alternative to buying third-party customised torsos.

They might be expensive, and you might not get the exact design you want, but they make good souvenirs and keepsakes. Bear in mind that the available designs are on rotation, and there are said to be seasonal minifigure torso designs!

The LEGO Minifigure Factory costs GBP 10.99, and you'll receive a LEGO minifigure with a customised White torso and printed White 1x3 brick. You get to choose a head, a hairpiece/hat, an accessory, and a pair of legs from those available, and you can always substitute them for parts from your own collection.
