Tens of thousands of Germans protest against far-right

Protests have been held across Germany against the rise of the extreme far-right.

The Alternative for Germany Party (AfD) sparked outrage after members were overheard discussing mass deportation plans for migrants and some German citizens of foreign heritage.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz was among those joining the demonstrations.
