Live: RBI Policy To Dictate The Mood Today | Will Nifty End The Week On A High? Opening Bell

Indian equity market notched a record closing high with the Nifty ending above the 22,500-mark for the first time on April 4. If the Nifty 50 manages to hold the same level, then 22,700-22,800 can be seen in the coming sessions, with support at 22,400-22,300 levels, experts said. The mood today is likely to be dictated by the outcome of Monetary Policy Committee. On April 4, the BSE Sensex rallied 351 points to 74,228 driven by technology and banking stocks, while the Nifty 50 jumped 80 points to end at record closing high of 22,515. The global setup is subdued this morning as Dow logs its worst day in over a year after a Fed member floats the possibility of no rate cuts this year if progress on inflation stalls. The GIFT Nifty is hinting at a weak start but above the 22,500 mark. HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, Hero & Nestle India are some of the stocks in focus today.
