Surviving Unemployment in the Animation Industry

I'm back and blunt! I have NOT been having a marvelous time during unemployment but I've come up with a couple different strategies to make the most out of the time I do have. Independent artists are superheroes and I could never do what they do, so the work I do to grind is ultimately to get another studio gig.

There is no path to getting out of unemployment, only a way through it, and as creatives we have to be intentional about using the skills and resources we have to make ends meet during times of drought in the industry (because these time WILL happen again!). You're not a failure for pivoting to support yourself. If anything you'll learn tooons of new skills in your outside industry gigs that you wouldn't be able to learn at an animation studio.

There's no way I can tell you how to make it. It would be foolish to upload this video and claim it came from my "many years of industry experience". I'm green too, I'm learning as I go, so please be kind.
