Slice Superior is the last song on the Kalsampler, and it’s just a fun little house song I’ve made. This song samples another Filipino song—Disco Fever by VST & Company—while its general structure is inspired by one of my favorite house tracks: All Night by Soundstream. One of the tropes you’ll find in Soundstream’s music is him chopping up disco samples—and I made sure to do that with Slice Superior. I essentially put VST & Company through a blender! It was fun to do the chopping work on Slice Superior, and maybe someday I’ll make more tracks where I just chop things up!
