Hello all,
Welcome back to another heritage video.
Today we head out for a kind of short tour, which sees a chartered service down to Seymour.
The service was hauled by locomotive R761 which has recently returned to service after some works over the summer.
The carriages chosen for the service were a mix between Steamrail and 707 Operations. The configuration of the consist was a BK-708BK-Victoria-Moorabool and the PCP, making a set of 3 bar carriages on the train.
The tour also gave the opportunity for two other occasions: one was a mainline test for R761 prior to works, the other was for the RTBU to do more driver training.
In this video, we see the morning transfer then head part of the way down to Seymour to have a speedy run-by.
In the evening we head out to Southern Cross to see its return and transfer back to Newport.
