Video showcases the fully automated Pharmafill TC3 tablet counter from Deitz Company, Wall, NJ, and features the company's latest, touch-screen HMI. The up-close view shows a staffer using the menu-driven screen to setup the electronic capsule counting machine, selecting the number of pills per bottle and several other parameters with ease. After start is pressed, the automatic pill counter is shown counting hundreds of capsules and filling them into plastic bottles. After each bottle is filled, the pill counter advances it downstream on the sanitary conveyor, moves the next empty bottle under the discharge chute, and fills the pre-set number of capsules into the bottle.

All of the tablet counting and filling tasks shown are performed automatically. In fact, the FDA-compliant TC3 is designed to run unattended and non-stop 24/7. It even flashes an alert if it determines cleaning is needed or if counting accuracy may soon become compromised, and stops automatically if there's a problem upstream or with the bottle to be filled.

The counting sensor out of view was custom-engineered specifically to count opaque, clear, translucent and center-hole solid oral dosage products fast with 99.99% accuracy or better. The proprietary technology dynamically regenerates the threshold level every 100ms and allows adjustments via the HMI based on the type of solid oral dose product to be counted. Capsules are shown in this video, but the electronic tablet counter delivers the same speed, accuracy and dependability with tablets, gelcaps, caplets, lozenges, softgels, candies and other products.

The automatic tablet counter is shown with stainless steel in product contact areas (standard). What is not shown is the TC3 comes set on both casters and leveling pads for easy rolling up to the filling line. The entire system shows is designed and manufactured at the company's New Jersey headquarters and delivered assembled and tested with a warranty.
