Heavy hail hit the French capital, #Paris, causing extensive damage to property and vehicles.

#Hailstones, some of which were the size of golf balls, rained down on the city for about 30 minutes, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Eyewitnesses reported hearing loud peals of thunder during the hailstorm, which caused panic and fear among residents. The hail damaged cars, shattered windows and tore roof tiles off roofs in several areas of the city. The storm also caused widespread power outages, leaving thousands of homes and businesses without power.

Local authorities dispatched emergency services to assess damage and provide assistance to affected communities. While there are no reports of casualties, the full extent of the damage has yet to be determined. This unusual weather event has raised concerns about the impact of climate change on the frequency and intensity of such storms. Météo France has issued an orange alert and the first storms are currently hitting the department. Météo France has warned of increased winds and heavy rains in the southwest, as well as occasional snowfall over the Massif Central as Fien crosses the country from the southwest to the northeast.

Nature shows its strength, and the weather can surprise us. It's good that the weather forecast, seismologists can warn us of dangerous bad weather.
