IPS officer Rakesh Asthana takes charge as Delhi Police Commissioner

1984-batch IPS officer Rakesh Asthana took charge as Delhi Police Commissioner today, replacing Balaji Srivastava. After taking charge, he said his focus will be on basic policing. Asthana has also served as director general of Border Security Force (BSF) and special CBI director.
