In the video, there are different types of insulation used in common households including, double pane windows, cellulose, foam board, fiberglass, and spray foam.

Double-pane windows work as insulation by using the layer of air in between them, slowing down the release of thermal kinetic energy.

Spray foam helps insulation by getting into smaller crevices and stopping air leaks.

Foam board is commonly found behind the siding of homes. This can keep the TKE where we want it in the winter and outside in the summertime.

Cellulose is made from recycled newspaper and does not catch fire. How it handles insulation is pretty good.

To help be more energy efficient with water heaters is to wrap the heater with a fiberglass insulation jacket. For the hot water line, you would wrap the line with foam pipe wrap. These techniques can help homes save money and be more efficient as a community.
