Visited Panama City Beach last Friday with my Daughter, Son-in-Law, and Grandchildren for some Florida snorkeling at St Andrews State Park Jetty in Panama City Beach. Earlier that week the forecast showed no rain, but when I checked that morning it said 60% chance of thunderstorms. I left for my 2 1/2 hour snorkel journey in spite of the forecast (much like I have done many times before) and when I arrived there were storm clouds off in the distance moving in and around the St Andrews area. I was very disappointed that the water on the inside of the jetty was the worst I have seen it, but the water on the Gulf side of the jetty was much better so I snorkeled the jetty on the Gulf side. This trip ended up being one of my favorite snorkels. I saw many species of sea life including a moray eel (listing below with bookmarks) and to think at one point I was regretting that I had made the trip... rain or shine, live on the sunny side of life!
