The route's fairly different now. I do the extra bosses (whoops I didn't realize they counted towards the level quotas) and I added in 20 more tokens to afford Solar Siphon, which means I can do a lot more biking and tornadoing.
I also reordered the tiers a bit to put as many skips before the first shopping trip as possible, so I can get Solar Siphon along with the other cheap items before the run really begins.

I've done about 6 full any%s (and weeks of practice, obviously) so I've got a better mental map of the entire game now. I barely need to look at my notes any more to remember the level order and basic strategies, so I can spend more time writing and reading specific room-by-room speed tech instead of "wait which levels do I skip in Tier 7 again". This means a lot of the levels I run in my any% now use real IL(-ish) strats with lots of weapon swapping and daredevil biking instead of just winging it on "well there's death pits here so I should probably just use magnet beam". It's a brave new world out there, I know.
