1980 Mark Hamill Interview

In 1980 when The Empire Strikes Back was in theaters Mark Hamill was interviewed by Bob Slade for his Sunday night celebrity interview program. In this part of the interview he talks about the three Star Wars trilogies. I worked for WOR Radio & TV and Bob was the News Director of our FM station (WXLO which became WRKS). Luckily, he had me photograph the people he interviewed and so we were in Mark Hamill’s hotel room on Central Park South. When he heard our station was owned by RKO he went over to his drawer and put on his RKO Radio Pictures t-shirt. When we got back to the station I asked Bob if he could make a copy of the interview for me so he did on a high speed cassette recorder. I don’t think anyone has heard this in over 40 years…
