I had a loud, fast ticking noise coming from the rear of the engine on my 2016 Chevrolet Cruze with the 1.8 engine. The issue ended up being the purge valve solenoid. If you have the ticking noise, listen and feel around near the back of the engine as I show here and if the issue is the same for you, you’ll be able to feel the noise coming from this part. I appreciate having helpful videos on YouTube when I have an issue with a vehicle, so this is in an attempt to help someone out who is experiencing the same issue.
