🏛️ A CIVILIZATION OF PARADOXES
The Canaanites were one of the most advanced civilizations of the Bronze Age. They invented the Phoenician alphabet, the foundation of every Western writing system. Yet they systematically burned their own children.

👹 BAAL, ASHERAH, AND MOLECH
Canaanite religion was built on sacred prostitution and child sacrifice. The Ugaritic texts confirm the biblical accounts. Archaeologists in Carthage discovered thousands of urns containing charred infant remains. The Bible was accurate—if anything, it was restrained.

⏳ THE 400-YEAR WAIT (Genesis 15)
God told Abraham the iniquity of the Amorites was "not yet complete." He gave the Canaanites ten generations to repent. Four hundred years of patience before judgment fell.

God commanded complete destruction—not out of cruelty, but as spiritual surgery. A surgeon does not leave part of a tumor intact. Canaanite religion was a spiritual cancer.

Israel failed to fully drive out the Canaanites. Within one generation, they were sacrificing to Baal. King Manasseh burned his own son in the Valley of Hinnom—the same valley Jesus later called Gehenna. Hell.

🧬 DNA PROOF
In 2017, scientists sequenced ancient Canaanite DNA and found that modern Lebanese people are 93% genetically Canaanite. The bloodline survived. The culture didn't. God's judgment was against the practices, not the people.

📖 The Canaanites had 400 years. They chose Molech over mercy. And when the iniquity was complete, God acted. This is not cruelty. This is justice.
