Mehbooba Mufti & National Conference Seek Review Of Yasin Malik Case As NIA Seeks Death Penatly

A day after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) moved the Delhi High Court demanding the death penalty for J&K Liberation Front leader Yasin Malik, representatives of many Jammu and Kashmir political parties including PDP and NC have asked for a re-hearing in his case. "In a democracy like India, where even the assassins of a PM are pardoned, the case of a political prisoner like Yasin Malik must be reviewed & reconsidered," former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said in a tweet. In response to J&K Apni Party leader Altaf Bukhari's tweet, which he has since deleted, Mufti remarked that individuals "gleefully supporting his hanging are a grave threat to our collective rights."
