The choice of grease must look at these five points: First: Use temperature: When the temperature is high, the grease should choose high-temperature grease with good antioxidant performance, small evaporation loss and high drip point; when the temperature is low, you should choose low start momentum, similar low viscosity grease, such as a fat based on synthetic oil. Second: Use rotational speed: At high speed, you should choose grease with large taper made of low viscosity base oil; for low speed grease, you should choose high taper grease made of high viscosity base oil. Third: Load size: When the load is heavy, the grease with high viscosity and thickener content of the base oil should be selected. When the load is particularly large, attention should be paid to the choice of grease with extreme pressure additives or fillers (molybdenum disulfide, graphite); when the load is medium and low, the grease of No. 2 consistency soap fibre with short structure and medium viscosity base oil is generally selected. Fourth: Use environment: In an environment where the air is humid or in contact with water, grease with good water resistance such as calcium-based grease, lithium-based grease, and composite lithium-based grease should be selected; in the environment of strong chemical media, synthetic oil grease with anti-chemical media such as fluorocarbon grease should be selected. Fifth: The role of grease: For the protective grease, it should be able to effectively protect the metal from corrosion.For example, to protect the parts in contact with seawater, aluminum-based grease with strong adhesion and water resistance should be selected.
