Ghosts in Italy: A story of thrills and mystery at the foot of Etna. | Haunted Places in Italy
Catania, a city in Sicily, a place rich in history and gruesome stories like the one in the haunted villa of Mascalucia. The villa doesn't look gloomy at all, it’s a beautiful historic residence from the nineteenth century, built on three levels, overlooking a huge garden.
Sicilians, however, prefer to avoid it, they are willing to change direction and lengthen the route rather than pass in front of the villa, and if forced to, they quickly whiz along the road, praying that the car won't stop. Why?

My name is Despoina and with the help of my imaginary friend Dead Bunny, we created this channel about strange new stories, questioning news, controversies,
and debunk conspiracy theories.
In Greek mythology, she was the goddess of mysteries of Arcadian cults who was worshipped under the title Despoina ("the mistress"), one of the central figures of the Eleusinian Mysteries.
My fascination with the darker side of life is what led me to create these videos where each week I'll dive into some of the most recent and mysterious stories.
