Museum Studies Internship: Piecing Together History

Описание к видео Museum Studies Internship: Piecing Together History

Lily Pelekoudas, a graduate student in the Museum Studies program, applies the knowledge learned in class to the important work she has undertaken during her internship at the Harvard Semitic Museum.

Her work has focused primarily on the newly accessioned objects from the archaeological excavation of Tel Balatah (Biblical Shechem) in the West Bank. Like piecing together a jigsaw puzzle, Pelekoudas has reconstructed over 100 fragments from an artifact dating back to 1650-1550 B.C.

From an archaeological standpoint, her work will help with the publication and knowledge of Tel Balatah. And for the museum, Pelekoudas has provided a piece worthy of exhibit.
