Day 2 of 3 with the Canadian forces
25 mm M242 Bushmaster chain gun and two 7.62 mm C6 general purpose machine guns.[1] One of the machine guns is mounted coaxial to the main gun while the other is pintle-mounted in front of the crew commander's hatch.

We were there all day and were recording behind the line of fire while they ran drills. as the drills they were running required them to fire advance positions and repeat we were able to capture a multitude of distances using different mics and recorders resulting in a great range of perspectives.
The recording in the video are an omni Lav mic, an MKH 8040 and a Shure sm81 at 96kHz - 24bit.
It was a little windy and the constant sound from the big diesel engines was a concern but I think we walked away with some solid recordings to be used and abused in upcoming projects.
