提瓶賣茶 煙火人間 | Song Dynasty Tea seller in Vancouver Chinese Garden

We are honoured to be invited by Vancouver Chinese Garden to act as the "Ti Cha Ping", a group of people selling tea while delivering massages in traditional Chinese community tradition during the Song Dynasty, on the Garden Tea Festival. A thousand years ago, these people carrying tea bottles walked through the neighbourhoods in Chinese cities, connecting the whole community with the drinks they sold; a thousand years later, people carrying tea bottles walked into the community of Vancouver, building a bridge of cultural sharing. We not only brought sweet tea to the visitors, but also added a lot of vitality to the event, just like our counterparts did in their neighbourhood a thousand years ago, so that the visitors could feel the immersive history of the spread of tea and how it was loved by the people over the years.
