Hello. Most people with DID or OSDD that I’ve seen seem to battle the idea that they are faking. It is a symptom of dissociative identity disorder to think you are faking. You didn’t sit down and decide to fake if you’re asking that question, but that’s besides the point. I thought it may be helpful for me to share my personal inner monologue of things my brain tells me I’m faking for, because I haven’t seen any DID youtubers get into the nitty gritty of what it feels like. Maybe that’s even out of shame that their reasons seem too plausible. I want to open up and show you some, and then discuss why they don’t matter. Maybe someone will relate to one of these and feel better. If not, perhaps this helps strengthen your own voice you can use to talk back to the voice that says your faking.
