Kakero is a dark organization founded under Azuchi Momoyama. The first leader of the organization, Kagenosuke Kiruma, was the intermediary of the kings of the game. He began to punish those who did not pay their debts. Then he started collecting money from random losers. Apparently, the military and its finances laid the foundation for the organization. Nobunaga died in the Honnoji case, the Sakuradamon case during the Bakumatsu period, due to the theft of 300 million yen during the Showa period. In the past, this was all just a Kakero organization betting event. Today, the Kakero organization continues to be the king of the game, guaranteeing bets to its members. In fact, his power may have allowed them to control the government. Meanwhile, Baku Madarame risks everything, including his own life, to rise to the top of the king of the game. Everything he does to defeat the king. Baku Madarame resisted the king by risking his life. Unfortunately, Madarame's strategy failed, even though he thought he could defeat the king.
Although Madarame is about to die from losing the bet, he is saved by the king. However, Kakero's membership was revoked and he was forced to leave Tokyo. While staying in a small place, Madarame took part in a small bet. As usual, Baku Madarame challenges the players and says he will eat liars. And with ease, Baku Madarame discovers the ropes of the leader of the game. He was thirsty while walking, but he could not buy his favorite drink because he lacked money. At that moment, a young man appeared who had won the jackpot in a slot machine. Startled by Baku's expression, the young man offered Baku Madarame one of his drinks as a reward.
Then Baku and the young man exchanged stories. A young man named Kaji says he's only lucky when he's in front of vending machines. While the rest of his life is always full of bad luck, like when thieves suddenly appear to collect his debts. After Baku helps Kaji, he invites Kaji to a gambling joint. Baku promises to double his money so he can help Kaji pay off his debt. In fact, in several attempts, Baku also hit the jackpot. Despite the fact, Baku once taught Kaji the tricks. Upon exiting the arcade, Baku and Kaji are confronted by Ranko, the owner of the arcade. He then challenges Baku to a contest for a prize if he wins. But again, Baku manages to defeat Ranko and escape them.
Meanwhile, Sadakuni Ikki refereed elsewhere along with Onodera Masahiro and Mekama Kiro. Sadakuni easily defeated Onodera, who later died. However, even if Baku tries to become a member of Kakero, he cannot get it. And Kaji is a member. Later, Yakou Hikoichi offers to act as a referee for Kaji's game. Although very confused by the various events that happened to him, Kaji eventually turned his attention to Baku and trusted him. Eventually, Kaji and Baku return to the game, with Sadakuni as their opponent. But this time, the bet they make will be more dangerous, even deadly.
Usogui is literally defined as a liar, and Madarame is a man with that nickname. It may be because while playing, Madarame always tells his opponent that he will eat his opponent's lie.
