Central Singapore CDC and Jalan Besar GRC GROs present the ‘Give & Take Market'! Hear from the Grassroots Advisers and volunteers of Jalan Besar as they share more about the initiative!

The market aims to lower the cost of living for residents staying in rental blocks, as well as nurture the spirit of giving and volunteerism!

It was also designed to offer residents an element of choice - in an array of essential household items and mode of collection.

Once the COVID-19 measures ease, residents can “shop” in person and choose items such as food, daily necessities, toys, and even electronics that they need.

Rotating monthly across Kampong Glam, Kolam Ayer, Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng and Whampoa divisions for now, this initiative will support around 1,600 lower-income families with children 19 years old and below.
