Despite the advent of the new Ford Fiesta WRC and, in the lower class, the competitive Fiesta R5, the Focus remains a glorious rally car who competed officially for a decade, from 1999 to 2010, winning two world titles and 44 victories behind only, as numbers, at the Lancia delta Integrale and the Subaru Impreza WRC. At the 2014 edition of the Franciacorta Rally were present 3 cars and in the final classification Matteo Beretta ranked 3rd with his Focus WRC (N°19) behind the modern and super-competitive Citroen DS3 WRC.

Nonostante l'avvento della nuova Ford Fiesta WRC e comunque, nella classe inferiore, delle competitive Fiesta R5, la Focus rimane una gloriosa auto da rally che ha corso ufficialmente per un decennio, dal 1999 al 2010, vincendo 2 titoli mondiali costruttori e conquistando 44 vittorie, dietro solo, come numeri, alla Lancia delta Integrale ed alla Subaru Impreza WRC. All'edizione 2014 del Rally di Franciacorta erano presenti 3 vetture dell'ovale blu e nella classifica finale assoluta Matteo Beretta si è classificato 3° al volante della Focus WRC N°19 alle spalle delle moderne ed agilissime Citroen DS3 WRC.
