I pulled the old 24v motor, added two 12v batteries in series to jump up to 48v, and installed an 1800w motor, new controller, welded the original motor sprocket to the new T8 sprocket so I could use original free sprocket and wheel. I plan on building a 48v lithium ion battery, adding new forks and front wheel, fabricating new rear brakes since I had to cut the old ones out to mount the larger motor. I mounted the larger motor above the rear wheel so I could keep the pedals for bike lane legality. I dont have a speedometer but this thing Jams!!
