How do you start your songs? Some people build off of a lyric, a title, a melody, a chord progression, a rhythm track; there are so many ways, and in my opinion, there is no right way to begin a song. You want to experiment and find what works for you!

In this video, we will explore the exercise I go through when I have a melody that I want to find lyrics to. Whether you free-write, turn journal entries into songs, or have a whole notebook full of lyric and title ideas with no song to call home, this exercise helps us grasp how to write lyrics to your melodies.
