We had this 2014 Swift Dzire visit one of our MotoFyx car repair workshop for an annual service along with a concern relating to the suspension system of the car. The owner had difficulty while driving across uneven road surfaces, as there was heavy noise being observed from the suspension along with severe instability while driving.

Upon a detailed inspection of the car by our expert technicians, the clunking noise was observed from the front side of the car, indicating a weak suspension. Upon dismantling the wheels and on further diagnosis it was observed that both the front and rear shock absorbers had become weak offering no rebounding effect, the front shock absorber mountings were also in a bad shape, The lower arms & link rods had also worn out overtime and were in need of immediate replacement, in order to completely restore the car’s driving comfort.

*Function of the entire suspension system in a car:
Car suspension is the system of tyres, springs, shock absorbers and linkages which connect a car to its wheels and allows relative motion between the two

*Symptoms of a bad suspension system:
Continued bouncing after hitting a bump
Drifting / Pulling to one side
One side of the car sits lower than the other
Difficulty in steering
Bumpy rides with clunking noise
Uneven tyre wear

*Solution:
The front and rear shock absorbers, kit and mounting were all replaced.
The worn out lower arm assembly were replaced
There was also a play observed from the Link rods, which were also replaced.

Annual service along with Wheel alignment was performed
