Outer Banks Day 3 - Cape Hatteras & Bodie Lighthouses, nature, and a lot of history!

We saw a lot on our third, and final day in the Outer Banks, mostly sticking to the things to see in the middle section of the sand bar. We started out at the Cape Hatteras lighthouse, which was closed to the public for refurbishment. We then visited the Chicamacomico Life-Saving station, where we saw the efforts made to save sailors stranded when their ships ran aground. Then, on our way to Bodie lighthouse, we stopped off at the Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. We wrapped the day at the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, home of the "Lost Colony of Roanoke".
