Repotting My Thai Constellation Monstera & Making a Heavy Duty Moss Pole

Finally! I have been wanting to get this thai constellation monstera repotted for over a year, and just never got around to it. This monstera deliciosa eventually got big enough that it couldn't stand upright in it's little pot. This is a huge upgrade, from a 12 or 14 inch pot up to a 24 inch! I'll be able to keep this plant in this set up for quite a long time, but may need to be pulled in a few years and given fresh potting soil for aroids. I did a DIY heavy duty moss pole for this plant, it was very easy. Sometimes it can be difficult to create a pole for large climbing aroids like monstera deliciosa, but with a flange, pvc pipe and coconut liner, it comes together nicely and is extremely sturdy. One important thing i forgot to mention is that I will have to be careful with watering this plant for several months while the monstera is rooting out. Putting a small root ball in an extremely large planter can cause the surrounding soil to remain moist for excessively long, which can lead to issues with root rot. I did not go into extreme detail on how to repot monstera, but I did a more in depth video in 2019 on repotting monstera deliciosa. Whether the plant is variegated doesn't matter, the potting is the same. The soil blend made in this video is very similar to the soil I like for most all of my houseplants, but with a little bit extra bark and lava.
