In Memoriam Ikarus 280 in Sofia / В памет на Икарус 280 в София

A not too short video for the Ikarus 280 city bus, which operated in Sofia public transport more than a 40 years! The first buses from the model began to work on the bus lines in the capital of Bulgaria in 1974. The last "Red Dragons" served line 79 till June 21, 2015. That was the last day of this legendary city bus in a regular use in the public transport in Sofia. I hope 2 or 3 of the better looking buses to be preserved as a museum exponents.
Unfortunately in the past 10-15 years the classic Ikarus engine - Raba D2156 on all of the remaining buses was changed to Raba D10. So, in the videos there aren't any sounds of the Raba D2156 engine. You can hear only Raba D10.
p.s. Unfortunately I don't have photos and videos from the golden era of Ikarus 280 in Sofia - the 80's and the beginning of the 90's when almost all bus lines in Sofia are hauled by Ikarus 280! So, most of the photos and all of the videos which I publish in this video clip, are made in the past 5-6 years.
