Hi guys,

It's been a very long time since I made a video! This isn't a very good video but this was the sixth attempt and my battery was about to die. As I said towards the end I suffer with bad brain fog these days so my concentration is poor and I often stumble over words (those who suffer know how frustrating it is, often I get my words totally jumbled up and can barely speak properly, ughh!)

I remembered after filming things I forgot to say so will add that here.

My inserts are all Travelers Company. The first two books are grid, they are a mixture of notes, lists, things to research and contain daily pages as needed. For these notebooks I just use pen and sometimes Stabilo pastel highlighters. I use bullet points from the bullet journal method.
In my weekly insert I often use stickers, although at times I go for weeks with only using pen. Although I do use stickers in this insert I still like a lot of white space.
In my monthly insert I use pen in different colours, the only stickers I use are colour coding dot stickers.

The pen as I mentioned is a Zebra Sarasa Grand. I got mine from Amazon Japan, there is I believe at least one UK shop that stock them now but I don't think they have many of the colours. I usually replace the ink refill with a 0.7 black Sarasa refill.

My thoughts on my Chic Sparrow Morland Deluxe: I am really happy that I bought this TN. I sadly missed out on the Mr Darcy ink and the Odyssey Poseidon, so I was happy to be able to get this. This is the first CS I have had with the curved pen loop, previously I thought I would not like it but after using a Travelers Factory TN with the clip on loop for nearly a year I had got used to a pen loop that stuck out from the planner. I did try tucking the loop inwards but didn't like that. I really like the matching stitching and I like the cascade pockets as easier to add some deco, the only thing I don't like is the new pocket style causes bumps on the outer cover where the stitching presses into the leather, because of this I have tried to massage out the marks in the leather and have put a few index cards inside the long inner pocket to help stop the marks getting worse. Despite this it wouldn't stop me buying another with these pockets in the future.

So why am I moving out of the Morland? Because I have several planners and want to use them, and I really love the Midori/Travelers Company ones, another reason is although I love black I actually love brown/tan planners the best. On saying that I like brown colours best I am going to be moving into the Travelers Company 2015 blue (Pan Am) because I haven't used it yet. I really love the Midori/Travelers Company TN's, for years I thought about buying one but wasn't sure I would like it, was unsure about the elastic coming from the back rather than the spine and thought I wouldn't like the fact they have no pockets. I bought one and was converted, loved it! Honestly there is just something about them and I would recommend to anyone. From someone that liked six notebooks in a TN I am now happy with three (or four in a different brand)

For the last few years I have been mostly using travelers notebooks as my main planner. I have used both Filofax and TN's as my edc, my most recent favourite thing as my edc has been a mini Filofax Chameleon. I use it as both my purse and planner.

If anyone wants me to show some of my other handmade TN's and maybe show a few tools I used to make them then let me know. I said about stitching being hard in the video, I actually meant making the stitch holes, you have to hammer a metal tool with prongs through the layers of leather and it is very hard on my hands and wrists. For a standard size TN it takes me about an hour to make the holes and around three hours to stitch it. I am sure most leather workers are much faster, but that is the sort of time it takes me just to do those stages.
