Amsterdam: Cheap and Quick Eats

Looking for quick and cheap eats in Amsterdam? We’ve got you covered. Amsterdam can definitely be an expensive city, but we’ll show you some of the best local places to get quick, cheap and most importantly, delicious food here! We’ve been living in Amsterdam for a few years and have discovered some great local favorites.

The Dutch love sandwiches, and we’ll show you two sandwich shops in Amsterdam that are way above average, Zero Zero and Cora’s. Amsterdam has a huge Turkish population, and because of that there are tons of Turkish restaurants here. One of our favorite spots is Anatola Kumpir where you can get a freshly made kumpir to fuel you up for a day of exploring the city.

Then we move on to noodles, which are great for Amsterdam’s many rainy days. The ramen from Tokyo Ramen and the hand pulled noodles from X’ian Delicious are exactly what you need to survive Amsterdam’s bad weather.

Finally, you can’t visit Amsterdam without trying two Dutch favorites, pancakes and bitterballen. We’ll show you where to get the best pancakes in Amsterdam and tell you about this famous Dutch bar snack.
