Red Barchetta - Rush

I've always been disappointed that Rush never produced a story based music video for this song, which is my favorite. I've done all the research into the song and the short story from Road and Track that inspired it and it is available on the wikipedia site for the song. I've always believed it could be made into an amazing Sci-Fi futuristic movie if done by the right director like Spielberg or Lucas (I actually sent my idea to SKG with no reply). I’ve dreamed it in my head so many times...

I finally saw the opportunity to demonstrate what could be done if the powers that be would get together and put in the effort. I created this on an iPad Pro with iMovie in one weekend after finding the right video content, along with some creative editing. I purposely didn't try to refine it too much given that it is not my own content and I don't have the means or access to create original content. I just wanted to create the concept, not make money from it.

I also realize that the Ferrari in this video is not a Barchetta, but the video clips were perfect for the video as I imagined it, just wish I had access to a real Barchetta to do this. Petrolicious gets the credit for the amazing video footage as well as Derek Hill for the amazing driving in the Ferrari 250 GTO! I would love to get together with the powers that be to make the real video that should have been made, as I imagined it…
