Transform Your Bike Rack Into The Ultimate Sewer Tote Storage Solution!

Step by step DIY how to customize and transform a Bike Rack to also store a waste tote/ sewer tote/ blue boy

In this video, I customize a hitch extension to add to a sewer tote rack so we could stow our sewer tote along w/ our bike attached to the Hitch Receiver of our Grand Design Reflection RV.

This Solution uses a 12 inch hitch extension that has a step welded onto it. I add a sewer tote rack kit to the step plate of the hitch extension, bolting it down with 5/16ths x 1.5 inch bolts.

This extension gives me lots of space to store our 28 gallon Camco Rhino Sewer tote and still give us a connection for our new bike Rack.

I use 2 hitch stabilization/immobilization devices to keep the hitch extension from wobbling as we travel down the road.

I chose the Kuat Transfer 2 bike rack - a very strong rack that can accommodate 2 heavy e-bikes, & approved for use on a RV trailer or Fifth wheel.

We bring our sewer tote will us on our full time RV journey because we often stay at campground that do not offer full hookups including sewer service. Having a sewer tote can help us extend our stays for weeks with the ability to empty our tanks as needed.
