Come along as we embark upon the start of our six night Summer 2025 stay in Las Vegas! We decided to drive to Vegas this time around for maximum flexibility, and left LA early enough on Sunday to get to Vegas in a record time of just over 4 hours! We arrived too early to check in for our complimentary two night stay at Fontainebleau, so we checked our luggage and started playing slots--HARD! We played so many different slots and got a bunch of wins, some in the hundreds of dollars and some quite a lot smaller, but we were quite entertained for a very long time. I even had to cut some of the slot play from this vlog because it was getting to be over an hour! We'll definitely post some of those clips as separate videos.

We then took a break to check in and have our luggage sent up to the room. You'll see a quick room tour as part of this vlog--it was lovely, bright and clean. This was our first time staying at Fontainebleau and we really did enjoy it. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the pillow was so perfect that I was tempted to take it home with me--but I didn't! The view from our room on the 55th floor was spectacular. I will say that one thing we discovered is that the walls between our room and the next one were quite thin. Luckily we didn't hear anything nasty, but on our last day at 7:30 a.m. we woke up to the guy next door talking clear as day on a Zoom, ugh! Luckily I had planned to get up not long after that to go to the pool, but it was still irritating.

After relaxing in the room a bit we went back downstairs to have dinner at Mother Wolf. Everyone is talking about this restaurant and now we know why. Our server was wonderful! She knew everything about the menu and she helped us order the perfect amount of food. Towards the end of the meal the service lagged a bit as it got busier, and our dessert came out a lot later than our lattes, but we'll let that slide because we enjoyed chatting and the people watching in this lovely atmosphere. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and we'd gladly go back to Mother Wolf.

Soon after it was back to playing slots and a couple more drinks, and then we went into the bar to try our hand at video poker and to get better Cosmos than we got on the floor. Mission accomplished, at least with the Cosmos! We didn't end up filming inside the bar/restaurant (The Tavern, I believe) but it was a cool spot, even though we didn't win. Totally different vibe than the rest of Fontainebleau.

We wrapped up after 12:30 p.m.--it was a long but very pleasant day, and we stayed at Fontainebleau the whole time! Hope you enjoy watching, and stay tuned for Day 2!
