झारखंड विधानसभा चुनाव 2024 से पहले भाजपा नेता रहीं लुईस मरांडी ने झामुमो का दामन थाम लिया है। झामुमो में शामिल होने के बाद लुईस ने इसकी वजह बताई है। उन्होंने कहा कि मैंने पार्टी (भाजपा) को इतना समय दिया, दिन-रात लोगों के लिए काम करती रही और पार्टी के हर निर्देश का पूरी ईमानदारी से पालन किया। जब चुनाव आया तो पार्टी ने मुझे बरहेट से चुनाव लड़ने को कहा, मैंने 24 साल दुमका को दिये तो मैं बरहेट से चुनाव कैसे लड़ सकती हूं? उन्होंने कहा कि पार्टी ने बात नहीं मानी और दुमका से किसी और को मैदान में उतार दिया। मुझे लोगों की सेवा करने के लिए एक मंच चाहिए था। मैंने सीएम हेमंत सोरेन से बात की और उन्होंने स्वागत किया।
