The Visual Inspection process is an 18 step process, where inspector are looking not only for corrosion inside of a cylinder, but also they are check the integrity of the cylinders threads as well. Sometimes, cracks are found, but upon further inspection, those cracks end up being something completely different. With out a good understanding, or proper training, these cracks, or misunderstood cracks can cause a visual inspector to inadvertently condemn a cylinder that is perfectly fine.
