Joel Richards is a Neuroanthropologist, holding qualifications in Anthropology/ Cultural Psychology, Philosophy & Religion, Counselling and Youth Work. Joel specialises across fields of trauma, resilience, behaviour and cultural/ organisational systems with nearly 20 years of practical experience working with youth, families and communities from multicultural, refugee and aboriginal backgrounds.
Joel is an accredited trainer for STARR Commonwealth/ Trauma & Loss Centre (including Response-Ability Pathways/ Circle of Courage and Positive Peer Culture) and maintains close affiliation with the original founders of Reclaiming Youth International and also with peers and mentors at Allambi Care Australia.
Joel is the Managing Director of Sanctum Specialist Services, his private business, which provides consultation, supervision and learning events- inclusive of formalised workshops, but also innovative and collaborative events and forums... such as hosted here!

Taku Mbudzi is a Zimbabwe-born writer, comedian and podcaster based in Melbourne. Taku’s stories inspire people to celebrate their uniqueness and dream boldly, no matter where they are from. She especially enjoys using humour to help children speak up and out for themselves. With over 10 years’ experience speaking to young people in schools and at youth leadership events, Taku has worked with organisations like Halogen Foundation Australia, the Australia Day Council of WA, The Smith Family Foundation, Mission Australia, Mueller College and several local government councils.
Taku's storytelling and teaching have led her to Melbourne where she’s producing a kids’ television series based on her picture book Multicultural Me, published in 2015.
When Taku’s not performing, she’s talking about writing on her own podcast Two Words with Taku, which recently won the Writing+Podcast prize in frankie magazine’s 2018 Good Stuff Awards. Taku is also on the judging panel for the 2018 Australian Podcast Awards.
