A massive fire erupted in the National museum of Natural History
in Delhi on yesterday late night. There is still smoke blowing out of the building and the fire was so intense that most of the exhibits in the museum are also feared to be lost. About 45 fire tenders rushed to the building when the call came in at around 1.30 AM on 26 April. The fire which began on the top floor soon spread to all other floors helped by the chemicals as well as the reagents that were used to store the exhibits in the museum.There are no reports of causalities other than two fire officials who have been admitted to hospital with burn injuries and another person with suffocation.
