Wesley Impact! TV: Elizabeth Leow

In recent years, Christmas has become more and more commercialized, as stores capitalize on the tradition of giving presents to make as much money as possible. But what do we miss out on when we focus too much on presents?

That’s the question Rev Keith Garner and Wesley Mission staff member Elizabeth Leow will be exploring in this week’s episode of Wesley Impact! TV as they discuss a number of Christmas initiatives Wesley Mission runs to help people rediscover the true joy of the season.

Elizabeth is involved in running the Wesley Fair, where people can support the homeless while doing their Christmas shopping, and will be at the Wesley Mission Christmas Day service and lunch, enjoying a meal with people who don’t have families to spend the day with.

“Christmas is a time where we actually share the love, to help people who are marginalized, people who are lonely, to let them know that, ‘Hey, there are still people in this world who care. There's still Jesus who actually cares for you’,” said Elizabeth.
