The MXR Fuzz Pedal Freq-Out

Описание к видео The MXR Fuzz Pedal Freq-Out

Here's the next episode of Brewster's Millions Of Rants with The MXR Fuzz Pedal Freq-Out. I've had lots of students ask me for tone tips and general approaches they can use to get great sounds from overdrive, distortion, and fuzz pedals over the years - but for many players, it's tricky using fuzz pedals and dialing in a great sound when using them - so that's exactly what this episode contains, with plenty of loose jamming and fuzzy knob-tweaking throughout.

As I mention in the video, I'm a big fan of MXR pedals (along with Xotic and TC Electronic) and while this episode prominently features MXR fuzz pedals in the mix, you can select/use any brand/type of fuzz pedal that you wish, as the general discussion and ideas shared here can relate to any fuzz pedal - vintage or modern.

The specific pedals demonstrated in this video include the Hendrix 'Band Of Gypsys' Fuzz, the Classic 108 Fuzz Mini, and the Hendrix Octavio Fuzz. Each of these pedals produces a different flavor or "color" of fuzz, and with some careful tone selection and knob-tweaking, you can find a plethora of fuzzy guitar tones and distorted mayhem using this basic trio of mini fuzz pedals.

If you're curious about incorporating fuzz pedals into your rig/studio or just seeking some general tone tips and the various sounds/options these pedals produce, then this episode is for you!
