How to Appear Offline on Messenger Even though You are Online | Turn Off Active Status on Facebook

If you want to appear offline in Facebook Messenger application although you are online then what you do is open Messenger application. Then tap on the profile icon here and if you see there is an option here "Active status". Open it and right now you can see "show when you are active" is enabled. Also "show when you are active together" is enabled. So if you want to appear offline you have to disable this option "Show when you are active" and you will get the option for how long you want to appear offline" until you change it, for one hour, eight hours etc. Let me select until I change it and then pause. So now what happens is your friends won't be able to know when you are active on Messenger application. Now here there are two things you have to remember. If you use Facebook application instead of messenger then in that case your friends will be able to know when you are online. So if you have disabled active status for Facebook Messenger then in that case you should not use Facebook application or else you have to turn off active status for Facebook application also and the next thing is if you are turning off Active status in Facebook Messenger application you will appear offline to all of the contacts that are present in Facebook Messenger application.
