The foreclosure moratorium and the eviction moratorium were extended AGAIN! In addition, mortgage loan forbearance was also extended along with some additional protections in place to help avoid foreclosures from increasing greatly.

The CDC announced today that the evictions will be halted at least another month. The Biden administration also announced the extension of the foreclosure moratorium also through the end of July 2021. An extension of mortgage forbearance was also approved as well for federally backed single family mortgages.

To give you a quick mortgage interest rates update, according to the Mortgage News Daily the average 30yr FRM decreased to 3.20% today for the current mortgage rates. This is mixed news if you’re a homebuyer right now or if you’re a homeowner looking to refinance.
