In this video, I demonstrate GarageBand (a free application that comes with every new Macintosh computer) and the Nord Stage 3 electronic keyboard. Together I show how GarageBand can be used to multi-track record both MIDI and audio from the Stage 3 at the same time. The video goes a step further too by demonstrating a third-party keyboard, the Korg Minilogue XD and its ability to connect to the Stage 3 via a traditional MIDI cable. Then finally, I show how the Nord Stage 3 can use the MIDI soft thru (through) and the "Extern" feature to send the MIDI signals all the way through to GarageBand.
