Can you help? | Historic Barge Restoration | Leeds Liverpool Canal [Ep 172]

Due to a fault at Plank lane swing bridge the Canal and River Trust are operating assisted passage at 10am each morning. So I set off just incase the swing bridge closes for maintenance. Just before the swing bridge is a water point, where I fill up the Rum Wench before setting off through Wigan via Poolstock locks and finally mooring up for the day in the village of Crooke. During my time in Crooke I meet the local boaters, head to the Crooke Hall Inn pub, meet a new boater who has just bought a project springer boat and is currently doing it up and finally meeting the legend Derek Bent who works and care for the Historic Barges Ambush and Viktoria. He is desperate for help with fundraising and lottery funding, so if there is anyone that can help, his number is 07837 428588
