I upgraded the cheap quill stem and flat handlebars on this Miele road bike flat-bar conversion to an adjustable quill stem and Masi riser bars. This conversion essentially mimics the feel of a fixie cockpit, except with gears. I also upgraded to allow for a more upright position for shorter riders while allowing taller riders to even use the bike at all, albeit in a more aggressive position.
