Dynasty Warriors 8: XL CE - Lu Bu Story Mode 9 - Showdown at Xiapi (Ultimate)

This is the final battle for the historical path for Lu Bu and one of my favorite stages in the entire series. This stage can be done in 3 different ways depending on who you play as. Lu Bu has a "strategy" to destroy the castle walls with his bare hands to release the water after Xiapi is flooded, Chen Gong has a double-double cross where he turns real defections into fake ones, and Zhang Liao will rally all the troops that stayed loyal.

This stage is just done really well, cuz it actually gives that feeling of dread like this is a real struggle. The music is done really well here starting with Karma Against Hard Invasion before going into a more fitting fighting song. It's really hard to prevent Cao Cao's forces from not burning all your supplies but not impossible. Since I did the hypothetical and protected Yuan Shu's boxes in an earlier battle, he sends reinforcements so that makes the battle a bit easier.

Also really like the cutscenes at the end, with Lu Bu saving Lingqi and Lu Bu's execution.
